Description
“Col Tamarie” Milu is a novelty released by Vigna San Lorenzo in 2020 and is a quiet version of the “Col Tamarie” sparkling wine. Wine “Kol Tamari” Milu is made from the same grape varieties as sparkling wine. The grapes are grown at an altitude of 450-500 meters above sea level, here the yield per hectare is much lower than in the rest of the Prosecco region. The soil of moraine origin with a lot of limestone gives the wines an expressive minerality and citrus aromas. The vineyard and the cellar adhere to organic practices with minimal interference with the natural process.
The grapes are harvested by hand in October, when they are fully ripe. The grapes are pressed in a craft press by Gaspare Buscemi. Maceration on the skin allows the wine to acquire a dark golden hue. Spontaneous fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with natural yeast. At the end of the aging of the wine on the lees, it is bottled without filtration, which over time may form a natural sediment.
