Wine “Togliano” Merlot Volpe Pasini DOC, 2021

Description

“Togliano” Merlot – this wine with a French accent. It is produced from the French Merlot, which is perfectly cultivated in the region of Friuli, and wine from it have become popular due to its excellent structure, elegant fragrant bouquet, individual style and possibilities of evolution in the bottle. Merlot to create this wine are grown in the homonymous municipality Tolyano. To preserve bright varietal characteristics apply special devices such as cooling berries using dry ice prior to compression and a brief cold maceration before fermentation. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks at controlled temperature. Extract of wine takes place in two types of containers: partially – in small oak barrels, partly – in steel tanks. Storage capacity of wine is 5 years.

Volpe Pasini farm is located in the heart of Colli Orientali del Friuli, which is the oldest in North-East Italy. The farm consists of a manor house dating back to 1596, as well as other complex of buildings surrounding the villa. The area of the estate is more than 20 thousand square meters, which are located more park and vineyard Ribolla, reminiscent of the true vocation of the company. The first document to mention the wine production this economy, dating back to XVII century, and by the XX century Volpe Pasini was one of the best wine houses that produce exceptional wines. In 1970, the company began to study hard, and then to introduce new technologies of wine production, and has been researching foreign markets (especially the US and Germany).
