Description
Interesting white wine “Kazamata”, which means “crazy house”, is created in the style of homemade Tuscan wine and has a serious refreshing taste. This is a natural, light, perfectly balanced wine. Berries for the manufacture of “Casamatta” are collected on the Tuscan coast near the village of Castiglione della Pescaia in Maremma, where young ten-year-old vines grow on soils with an average texture. Fermentation of the wort and subsequent aging of the wine are carried out in stainless steel tanks, which makes it possible to keep clean the unique taste characteristics of the grapes and, accordingly, the wine.
Growing up in a creative family of artists, and the artist himself, who has a diploma from the Academy of Fine Arts, Bibi Graetz became seriously interested in winemaking from a young age. Over time, this passion completely captured the young man, and he decided to engage in the production of wine professionally. Graetz owns 4 hectares of vineyards and 10.5 more leases. Working on the ground, he is constantly in search, seeking to find old planting of grapes and create new ones to create the best wines. The work of Bibi Graetz is difficult to call a classic winemaking, rather, its creativity, in which he relies more on his intuition and feelings than on rules. All his wines, with the exception of white “Casamata”, Bibi creates from autochthonous Tuscan grape varieties. In the name of the favorite wine “Testamatta”, which translates as “crazy head”, the former artist reflected his indefatigable and expressive character, which helps to reveal the great creative potential of a talented oenologist. Currently, wines produced in the city of Fiesole (where the Graetz winery is located) have been noted by international critics such as Robert Parker and the Wine Spectator and are among the best Italian wines on the world market.
