Description
“Piedra del Mar” was named after the sea breezes of the Atlantic Ocean, providing this North Spanish wine with its main characteristics. Lightness, freshness and excellent pity, combined with a bright aromatic bouquet make Piedra del Mar an excellent summer wine, which makes up a harmonious pair of seafood and spicy dishes. For the production of wine the method of short, six-hour maceration is used. Fermentation with “wild” yeast passes at a stable temperature in steel vats. Before the spill, the wine enters the final stages of cold standing and filtration.
The Terrace of Gouda was founded in 1990 in the town of Acaras in the famous wine region of Rias Baixas. Its vineyards are stretched in the picturesque valley of O Rosal, near the mouth of the Minho river. An exceptional microclimate with moderate temperatures, no frost and abundant rainfall is ideal for maturing high-quality grapes with a high sugar content and a balanced level of acidity, unlike other, northern, Rias Baixas areas with a more volatile climate. 85% of the berries for their wines, “Terrace Gouda” grows in their own vineyards, the rest is purchased under strict quality control from other local producers. The winery owns about 80 hectares of vineyards, divided between varieties Albarino (70%), Lowreiro (15%), Cainho blanc (10%) and Treischadura (5%). “Terrace Gouda” specializes in white wines, but now the farm has an experimental plantation for red grape varieties.Read more:
