Description
“Solista” Syrah, 2007 – mature, dense wine, the name of which refers to the world of music (“soloist” or “soloist”) and at the same time indicates that we have a single-varietal wine. Syrah performs beautifully under the Tuscan sun and deserves a solo part.
Grapes for making wine are grown in Tuscany at an altitude of 210-250 meters above sea level. Clay soils with an admixture of marl are rich in shell deposits and have good drainage. Harvested by hand and hand-selected. The berries are placed in a grinder, where they are carefully crushed, and the must falls into a steel vat thanks to a gravitational system. Vinification includes maceration on the skins and fermentation with frequent pumping of the must at the very beginning. The fermentation temperature does not exceed 25 C and gradually decreases until the must and pulp are completely separated. Exposure takes place in two stages: first 18 months in 225-liter oak barrels, and then, after bottling, another 10 years in the cellar of the winery. After being released to the market, the vintage will be perfectly stored and developed for at least 7 years.
