Description
Stellenbosch Hills is an established player in the South African wine market. The brand boasts over 70 years of success, winemaking excellence and manufacturing experience. The first farms, which also cultivated grapes, appeared in the Wottenburg region (Stellenbosch) in 1707. Winery “Stellenbosch Hills” prides itself on its rich history and an immense heritage of viticulture and winemaking traditions that result in affordable and internationally recognized wines.
Dry red wine Stellenbosch Hills, Shiraz is made from the grape variety of the same name grown in the Stellenbosch region. The berries are harvested by hand, when they reach the optimum level of aroma concentration, only the best fruits go into wine production. 15% of the wine is matured in new French oak barrels, 15% of the wine is aged in the same new barrels, but from American oak. The rest of the wine (70%) matures in French refilled barrels. Excerpt lasts 16 months.
