Stellenbosch Hills is an established player in the South African wine market. The brand boasts over 70 years of success, winemaking excellence and manufacturing experience. The first farms, which also cultivated grapes, appeared in the Wottenburg region (Stellenbosch) in 1707. Winery “Stellenbosch Hills” prides itself on its rich history and an immense heritage of viticulture and winemaking traditions that result in affordable and internationally recognized wines.

Dry red wine Stellenbosch Hills, “1707” Reserve Red is a blend of 55% Shiraz grapes, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot and 10% Petit Verdot. The grapes are cultivated on a single site located in the Stellenbosch region. The berries are harvested by hand at optimum ripeness, and only the best fruits are put into production. Each variety is fermented and aged separately. Maturation takes place in new oak barriques for 18 months (40% of the barrels are made from American oak and 60% from French). Malolactic fermentation takes place in the same barriques. Wine storage potential is 8-10 years.
