The line “Savanha Sun” shows light wines for everyday consumption that demonstrate rich aroma and flavor quality and reminiscent of a sunny and carefree African summer. Wines range best suited for outdoor picnic with friends.

The grapes for red wine “Savahna” Cabernet Sauvignon grown on 10-20-year-olds vines, which are subject to an additional drip irrigation, so that they produce 8-15 tons of grapes per hectare. The vineyards are located in the area Bredeklof, Svartland and coastal Western Cape. Grapes for wine “Savannah” Cabernet Sauvignon is harvested by hand from selected sites. After collecting the berries are separated from the cuttings lightly pressed. Cold maceration is carried out at temperatures of 10-12 C, after which the mash is subjected to fermentation in stainless steel vats. The wine is pumped daily for optimum color and aromatic qualities. The wort is mixed and allowed to stand for 6 months, after which the wine is bottled.

The history of wine Spier house, located about 50 kilometers from Cape Town, dates back to 1692, when the burghers moved here to create your own wine farms. The whole complex of buildings sector has cultural and historical value – the architectural style of buildings, known as Cape Dutch, combines elements of medieval European architecture. All this time the winery did not stop their work based on the principle of ecological environmental management.
