Description
San Polino, Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, 2017 is a full-bodied and structured red wine, originating from a lush loamy field on the northern slopes of Montalcino. It has been described in rave reviews by critics as fruity, voluminous, dense, luxurious and tasty. Good ventilation and sun exposure ensure optimal ripeness of the berries every year. 2017 was marked by a hot summer with dry periods, which required careful selection of the berries. The harvest took place at an altitude of 300 meters above sea level, where ideal climatic and soil conditions ensured optimal ripeness. Spontaneous fermentation took place in wooden vats. Pre-fermentation maceration lasted 3 days, and the post-fermentation period lasted 30 days. Then the wine matured for 42 months in Slavonian oak barrels.
