Chianti wine has a special place among all the products produced by Ruffino. Released the first founders of the winery Illario and Leopoldo Ruffino, it is more than 100 years has been the benchmark for all categories of wines of Chianti. Partly thanks to him for many consumers around the world a positive impression about these wines, whose characteristic and essential feature of many decades was fiasco – a bottle with a long narrow neck, braided straw. It is believed that this “design” came to us from the Middle Ages, while the straw braid with a pen served as a kind of container for transporting wine in bags made of goatskin. Going on a long journey, the rider could easily strapped to his saddle. Ruffino has decided to move away from their traditional way and in 1975 replaced the “fyasko” exquisite Florentine bottle, which today is a unique trademark.
