Recioto della Valpolicella – amazing red sweet wine, fascinating intense flavor, unique aroma and generous unusual style. In the manufacture of wine using local grapes Corvina and its subspecies Korvinone. Whole bunch of grapes in drying rooms comes with a certain temperature and low humidity for a period of 3 weeks to 5 months. In the process of Recioto della Valpolicella there is a by-product – dry grape skin. It is often simply discarded, but the resourceful winemakers Veneto developed technologies to squeeze the juice to the last drop. Then the wine is kept in small barrels made of Slavonian oak for at least 8-9 years, and then another six months – in bottles. The wine has excellent potential storage, preserving and strengthening its excellent quality for over 30 years.
Giuseppe Quintarelli vineyards are located in the Veneto region – one of the most important and significant wine regions in the north-eastern part of Italy, with its capital – the city-sites of the city. Giuseppe Quintarelli born March 19, 1927 in the municipality of Negrar in the Veneto region. His father, Silvio, cultivated vineyards in the common system. Already in 1906, Silvio Quintarelli exported barrel of his wine in America. The official founding date of the economy considered Quintarelli 1924. Giuseppe, a former youngest son Silvio, began to lead the economy in 1950, immediately began a program to improve and expand it. The thing is that most winemakers in the region at that time preferred production of cheap wine Valpolicella with a simple character. Giuseppe immediately went the other way. Giuseppe, who worked tirelessly to find the perfect balance between tradition, innovation and passion. He was considered by many to be the best producer of Amarone della Valpolicella, which is kept for seven years in large Slavonian oak barrels. This wine is considered one of the most complex wines produced in Italy. Today Amarone 2000 vintage sells for around 300.
In its work, Giuseppe guided by the principle that “you can never use violence against nature – harvest only one that gives nature. If this year grow a smaller, it will sell less.”
Giuseppe Quintarelli genius died at the age of 84 on January 15, 2012, and now continues his work of Frank’s wife and their four daughters. His guilt and to this day have no rivals and competitors, so certainly will be the most valuable collection of experts and true connoisseurs!
