Description

“Trevo” Rose is a great option for a light, fragrant, pink, semi-dry Vinyu Verde, refreshing with a slight acidity on a hot summer day. To create wine, grapes of the Espadeira and Turiga Nacional grapes are used. Harvested by hand, after a short cold maceration and fermentation at a controlled temperature, the wine is aged in stainless steel tanks and bottled in January, while maintaining a small amount of carbon dioxide, which gives the drink a slight fizz.

The year 2019 in Vinho Verde turned out to be cool and with less rainfall, as a result of which the grapes gained maturity longer than usual and the harvest was record-breaking in duration – 50 days. Wine 2019 is characterized by a special fruit freshness.

Quinta do Portal is a winery located in the highlands of the Douro region of northern Portugal. Its history is inextricably linked with the Mansilha family, which has been producing magnificent port wines for more than a century, and the roots of this ancient family living in the land of Douro can be traced back to the 15th century. Starting in 1974, the family business began to expand. Significant investments were made in vineyards, which currently occupy about 100 acres of land in the Pinhao Valley, the estates Quinta do Confradeiro and Quinta da Abelheira were bought, new cellars were built and modern equipment was installed at the plant. Due to the fact that the company owns its own vineyards, there is a unique opportunity to control the entire process of creating wine, starting with vines and ending with cellars.

At present, the Kinta do Portal farm offers the consumer modern dry wines Douro DOC, Moscatel Douro DOC and a wide selection of different ports. Creation of excellent drinks is being handled by a team of professionals, which includes Pascal Chatonnet, the well-known French winemaker and unrivaled blending master Jeremy Bull, and wine production has been led by Paulo Coutinho since 1993.
The wines created from the traditional grape varieties of Portugal have their own character and sophisticated modern style. Quinta do Portal has received several awards for designing bottles and packaging for its products. The company believes that exquisite and rich wines of excellent quality should have a decent design.
