  • Wine Late Harvest, 2010 made from grape varieties Furmint, Harshevlyu, Zeta and Muscat Lunel, collected at the end of the season. The name “Late Harvest” (“late harvest”) wine received in connection with this feature berry picking. Late clusters have higher sugar content and are ideal for the production of sweet wines. Vintage with a high degree of maturity (40% of the grape type “Aszu” – zaizyumlennye berries affected by the noble gray mold), carefully assembled by hand. After sorting the harvest, which begins in the vineyards, and ends at the winery, the must is fermented for two to three weeks in new oak barrels. Aged wine in new Hungarian oak barrels of 136 liters capacity for 6 months. Storage capacity of wine is 10 years.

Late Harvest, 2010 – fine wine with subtle sweetness and honey-citrus aromatic bouquet. Slightly dried on the vine, with noble rot grapes gives the drink a recognizable character of great Tokay wines, complex floral and fruity bouquet and excellent balance between acidity and sweetness.

    The first mention of the appearance of Tokaj wine dates back to 1550. In 1606 in Moscow for his daughter’s wedding with Falsdmitry Jerzy Mniszech brought 30 beautiful Tokaj wine barrels. There had to taste the wine and the Hungarian wines to drink now became customary as the court and in the nobles. And in 1745, Russia had even organized a special commission on purchases of wines from Tokaj, which bought those wines which enjoyed the highest reputation. The modern method of wine production has been developed chaplain Rakoczy family.     In 1993, Vega Sicilia, one of the greatest wineries in Spain, saw great potential in the region, the estate acquires Oremus, located in the heart of Tokaj. Thus, the identity of the family Alvarez added to the historical traditions of the region. Pablo Alvarez, managing director of Vega Sicilia, is also responsible for the project. Respecting local traditions, the family Alvarez has made significant investments in Tokaj Oremus, ensuring the current level of equipment to produce the best wines.

    Oremus owns 115 hectares of vineyards, which are located in the most beautiful locations and have excellent southern and south-western exposure. The vines were planted at the foot of the mountains at an altitude of 200 meters above sea level, they are protected from the north wind, and get plenty of sunlight. The nearest river Bodrog provides excellent conditions for the appearance of botrytis. Oremus in the vineyards grow traditional varieties: Furmint, Harslevelu, Muscat Lunel and Zeta. These top-class vineyards once handed down famous and noble families (Rakoczy and Sirman).

    Oremus Winery is proud to be an ancient tunnel has a cellar, several kilometers long, which has remained virtually unchanged since the 13th century. In 2002, the cellar became a World Heritage Site.
    The farm Oremus employs a team of professionals with extensive knowledge of local traditions.
