Description
Grapes for Gevyurstraminer Neethlingshof Gewurztraminer wine production is assembled by hand with 15-year-old vines growing on the red fertile soil of Africa under the influence of the cool sea breezes that slow ripening of the grapes and produce more pronounced flavor. Harvesting is carried out in mid-February – this time of year on the African continent is considered the end of the summer.
Grape must is aged in stainless steel tanks, then is blended, pour into bottles and matures in six months. “The sweetness in the aroma, but not in the taste” – so said De Wet Viljoen – the owner of the winery at the presentation of his wine Nitlingskhof Gevyurstraminer 2010. Aroma and taste bouquet spiced wine will satisfy even the most discerning connoisseurs. Wine reaches its full maturation over the next three years. Awards:
