Bodegas Fernando Castro was founded in 1850, when Marcos Castro Torres opened a small business in the field of viticulture. His son, Juan Manuel, with the support of their eight children, was able to give a good impetus to commercial companies. So Castro wines began to be sold in the markets of Andalusia and Madrid. Then it presents some difficulty – for 15-20 days, the wine was transported in carts pulled by mules. But the family Castro was able to lead the company towards prosperity, despite all the vicissitudes of fate that they had experienced during the Spanish Civil War.

Today, Fernando Castro – the most famous family winery southern Spain. Castro wines are available in 46 European countries as well as in the US, Canada and Japan. In Bodegas Fernando Castro managed to combine traditional methods with the latest technology, which guarantees excellent quality of the wines.
