Description
Dry red wine “Querciolaia” created from Alicante grapes grown in the province of Tuscany. A vine originally from Spain appeared in Italian vineyards in 1600. Winemakers from the Mantellassi family began making wine from the Alicante crop in 1977. Due to the long aging (13-16 months) in oak barrels and short-term ripening in a bottle, it has excellent organoleptic characteristics and is appreciated for its deep and complex flavor.
Wine Awards “Kuerchiolaya”:
- Decanter World Wine Awards 2011, silver medal;
- Grenaches Du Monde 2013 Gold Medal.
