Description
Mantellassi, “Lucumone” Vermentino, Maremma Toscana DOC – light and fresh wine from the Tuscan province of Maremma, created from Vermentino grapes. Vines grow on soils of limestone and tuff of volcanic origin. Productivity is limited to 8 tons per hectare. Vinification includes soft pressing and fermentation at a controlled temperature in steel tanks. The young wine is aged for two months in stainless steel tanks, and then bottled.
The wine owes its name to Lukumon, the first Etruscan king who ruled Ancient Rome. In 2017, Lukumone won silver at the Decanter World Wine Awards, and in 2012 received 2 clusters from the Italian wine guide Bibenda.
