Description
Madonna Nera, Rosso di Montalcino – a great wine with a refined, well-balanced taste. Wine is made from Sangiovese grapes, which ripen on clay-lime soils with a high content of river pebbles. A special feature of the terroir is a dry, sunny climate, lack of fog, exceptional air transparency and bright sun. Harvesting is carried out manually at the time of optimal ripeness of the grapes, only the best and healthy berries are selected. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a temperature not higher than 28 C. Maceration in contact with the peel lasts 25 days. The growing activity of natural yeast leads to the onset of malolactic fermentation, which is replaced by aging in French oak barrels (first and second year of use) for 12 months. Before bottling the wine is carefully filtered.
Vintage 2015 is best tasted in the period from 2018 to 2021.
