Wine “Lux Vitis”, Toscana IGT, 2021

Description

“Lux Vitis” Toscana IGT – an exclusive wine from the company Luce della Vite, created from selected grapes of the highest quality grown in Montalcino. Cabernet Sauvignon vines were planted here in 2014. The grapes so impressed the oenologists with their excellent quality that they decided to produce from it a new wine of the highest quality, able to tell about the Montalcino terroir in the language of Cabernet Sauvignon.

To give Lux Vitis a rich flavor, a small amount of Sangiovese was added to the main variety. Aging, which lasts 24 months and is carried out in new French oak barriques, gives the wine a sophistication and fullness of taste.

The wine was called “Lux Vitis”, which means “light of the vine”, in honor of the sunlight that gives life.

In 1995, two wine families – the famous Frescobaldi from Tuscany and Mondavi from America – decided to join forces and create a joint venture Luche della Vite in the Montalcino area. The innovative approach and modern technologies of one of the leaders of the California wine market – the Mondavi family – combined with centuries-old winemaking experience and the traditional vision of the process of winemaking of the Frescobaldi family. Both families have set themselves the task of creating one of the greatest wines of Italy. It all started with compiling blends of wine materials from the Frescobaldi farm of 1993 and 1994. According to the traditions of the Brunello di Montalcino zone, it was prescribed to make wines consisting of 100% Sangiovese, but the winemakers decided to combine the Sangiovese structure and the roundness of the Merlot, so Luce was born – supertuscan wine, which entered the elite circle of world winemaking. In addition to this amazing wine, the company produces two more famous wines: Lucente, in which Sangiovese and Merlot are complemented by Cabernet Sauvignon, and Luce Brunello, created in the best traditions of the region from one Sangiovese, as well as the Danzate wine line, representing four regions of Italy, and delightful grappa.
