Wine Krinica, “Arena”, 2020

Description

“Arena” – a fresh and complex red dry wine, which is used for the manufacture of grape varieties Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Marselan, Cabernet Franc and Mourvedre, grown in Gelendzhik, in the Krasnodar region of Russia. The vineyards are dominated by marl soils, which, combined with the subtropical dry climate of the Mediterranean type, creates favorable conditions for obtaining a quality crop.

The grapes are harvested by hand and carefully sorted. Each variety is vinified separately. Grapes are gently pressed in a membrane press and subjected to pre-fermentation maceration. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature in stainless steel vats, oak barrels and concrete tanks. Upon completion of malolactic fermentation, most of the wine is aged in barriques, a third of which are new, for 10 months. Decantation is recommended before serving.
