Description
Elegant dessert wine “Alhambra” Moscatel de Setubal created with great care and attention to every stage of production. Moscatel grapes intended for the production of this wine is grown on the peninsula of Setubal, which is located to the south of Lisbon. Soil areas – limestone-clay, with a high content of sandstone. Mediterranean climate has a major influence on the conditions of ripening grapes. Summer nights often increased humidity, and during the later stage of ripening berries covered with dew formed due to the proximity of the river Tagus basin. This extra moisture plays an important role in the process of fruit ripening, as summer rains are rare. Classification DO vineyards Setubal received in 1907.
In the manufacture of wine “Alambre” Moscatel de Setubal fermentation forcibly stopped after making brandy. The wine is held in special barrels reuse. Subject to certain conditions (temperature should not exceed 12 C, while humidity is 60%) shelf life of wine – not limited.
