Description
The wines “I Castelli Romeo e Giulietta” are as beautiful as the love story of Romeo and Juliet. Their homeland is the land of Venice. In the distant 1530, they became a haven for writer Luigi da Porto, who lives in a villa in Montorso Vicentino, next to two castles – the families of Montague and Capulets. It was he who wrote the novel “La Giulietta”, on the basis of which later Shakespeare created his masterpiece. Historians say that Luigi da Porto was inspired by the ruins of medieval castles, standing on a hill nearby, which the author saw from his window. Today, the ruins are called “Castles Romeo and Juliet” (“I Castelli Romeo e Giulietta”).
The line “And Castelli Romeo e Juliet” includes a wide range of wines from grapes grown in the Veneto region. Manufacture of drinks is made on modern equipment, and vineyards are located in ecologically clean regions with favorable soil and climatic conditions.
“I Castelli Romeo e Giulietta” Bardolino is a bright, fresh, intense fruit wine made from the classic blend of Rondinella, Molinara and Corvinas for the Bardolino zone. The wine is very gastronomic, it will warm on a winter day and refresh on summer evenings.
The company Cielo e Terra was founded in 1908, its name comes from the word land (terra) and the names of the founders – the family Cielo. In 1930, thanks to Pietro Chelo, the company began to expand and improve production, in 1962 new vineyards were created, and output increased. Today the winery is headed by representatives of the fourth generation, the brothers Luke and Pierpaolo Chelo. Today the company is one of the largest producers of the Veneto region, it owns about 300 hectares of land. The output is the second largest in terms of distribution. Among other things, Cielo e Terra is part of the largest group of Italian winemakers – Cantine Colli Berici, which owns about 4000 hectares of vineyards, most of the company’s wines are produced here.
Based on the support of the winemakers from the “Cantine Colli Berici” group, the company Chelo e Terra participates in a project aimed at improving the entire production and agricultural sector of the Berici Hills region (Berici Hills) – from the vineyard to the bottle, which gives buyers a quality guarantee.
