Description
“Alazneli” Alazani Valley White Semi-Sweet is a Georgian white semi-sweet wine, for the production of which selected grapes of the Rkatsiteli and Mtsvane varieties are used. The grapes are grown on the fertile soils of the Alazani Valley in the Kakheti region. The dry and hot climate of the region creates favorable conditions for growing grapes. The rich variety of soils also plays an important role in the formation of the unique aroma and taste characteristics of wine, alluvial and deluvial soils prevail here, black soil, carbonate humus and loam are also present. Rkatsiteli is one of the oldest Georgian grape varieties, it has a restrained and refreshing taste, it is easy to recognize it by its characteristic notes of green apple and white peach. Mtsvane, a variety no less popular in Georgia than Rkatsiteli, brings spicy citrus hints to the bouquet.
“Alazneli” Alazani Valley White Semisweet is produced in accordance with the law of Georgia “On vine and wine” dated 12.06.1998. The grapes harvested at the time of optimum ripeness are carefully sorted, cleaned from stems and softly pressed. The resulting wort is settled at low temperatures of 10-12 C for 24 hours. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in steel vats at a temperature of 16-18 C. When the required level of residual sugar is reached, the fermentation is forcibly stopped by cold. After filtering and pasting, the wine is bottled.
