  • “Siepi”, 2010 – very rich and concentrated wine with aromas of red fruits, herbs, chocolate and smoke. First vintage “Siepi” was born in 1992. The wine is made from an equal share of Merlot grapes and Sangiovese. The vineyards are located at an altitude of 260 meters above sea level. Age of vines is 12-25 years. 2010 crop harvested 16 September (Merlot) and 8 October (Sangiovese). Procedure mash fermentation took place at a temperature of 26-28 C. Maceration of each grape held separately. For Merleau maceration period was 14 days and for Sangiovese – 18 days. Aging wine in small French oak barrels, 70% of which were new, took 18 months. Wine bottled in November 2012. The release took place in 2010 in the second half of 2013. Storage capacity “Siepi” is more than 20 years.

The process of making wine takes place under the supervision of the legendary agronomist-oenologist Carlo Ferrini (Carlo Ferrini), awarded Gambero Rosso title “Winemaker of the Year” in 2000.
