Description
Chateau Pino, “Koldun” Red – wine with berry-fruit taste and expressive aroma, which is made from a blend of grapes of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Prix Verdot and other red varieties. The wine got its name in honor of the Koldun mountain, located in the village of Fedotovka. It is on the slopes of this mountain, in the southern part of Novorossiysk, that the Chateau Pino winery is located. The vineyards are located at an altitude of 180-270 meters above sea level and grow in an arid, hot climate with mild winters. The soils of the vineyards are poor, stony, with a content of marl and limestone. The average age of the vines is 10-14 years. The grapes for making wine Shato Pinot, “Koldun” Red are harvested both by hand and by machine at very late ripening periods, when the level of natural sugar reaches its maximum.
