Description

Castello d’Albola, Chianti Classico – dry red wine made from the grape varieties Sangiovese and Canaiolo that grow in Radda in Chianti (Siena). Crop is harvested by hand. Vinification takes place using traditional fermentation with the skins. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged 12 months in barrels of Slavonian oak.

Castello d’Albola located in a charming place with a unique landscape, rich in history and incomparable scenery. For many years the farm belonged to various noble families of Tuscany, and since 1979 Castello d’Albola passed into the ownership of the company Zonin. Gianni Zonin main task is to take the quality of grapes on the highest level, and then – the restoration and construction of the magnificent medieval manor. Zonin family is seeking to expand both the vineyards and the winery. To date, the castle area covers 900 hectares, of which 150 hectares are planted with vines and olive trees.

Veneto region, whose capital is the most romantic city in the world – Venice, famous for its vineyards. Among them are the vineyards of Zonin. The company has 11 farms occupying a total area of 1,800 hectares, each of which is a separate and produces its own unique wine related to both geographical region and with the cultural and historical heritage. Zonin family winery – is seven generations, since 1821 to preserve the purity and naturalness of each vine, is the number one in Italy in terms of production and the only Italian company with a winery outside of the country, on the east coast of America.
