Description
Castelfeder “Rieder” Lagrein – a dry red wine made from berries Lagreyn varieties. This grape is indigenous to the region of Alto Adige, it is grown only on its territory. Lagreyn Berries with the skin are used to make red wines. For ros wines the grape is released from the skin.
Kastelfeder Vineyards are located on hilly slopes in the vicinity of Enya. The vines grow Lagreyn loamy alluvial soils. After collection and release of ridges fermented fruit warm (26-28 C) for 10 days. To berries juice was in constant contact with their skins, the material is constantly mixed for the future of wine. This gives a special color saturation and enhances the flavor characteristics of the beverage.
Before bottling “Reader” Lagreyn stand in oak barrels for exactly 10 months. This wine is characterized by a harmonious mildly tannic flavor and an unusual aroma with notes of violets and wild berries. It combines with red meat and grilled dishes, you can serve with thick, hearty snacks.
