Description
Castelfeder “Raif” Sauvignon – classic dry white wine from the berries of the Sauvignon Blanc. They are grown on the eastern slopes of the hills Penon, located in Kortachcha Valley. The vines grow on deep clay soils with a high content of sand and moraine sedimentary rocks. These soils give the berries pronounced tied to the terroir taste, and vintage “Rife” Sauvignon grapes are used exclusively with these vineyards.
The collected berries from the vines are a brief maceration (4-8 hours) and then go through a process with a soft pressing, the natural release of sediment and fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Controlled fermentation temperature allows you to get the most out of flavor substances. Before bottling the wine allowed to stand for at least 4 months.
“Rife” Sauvignon has a pale, almost translucent straw color with delicate green reflections. Its rich tropical flavor poured tones of ripe exotic fruit. On the palate there is a perfect balance of acidity that emphasizes the freshness of the beverage. This wine is served with dishes of asparagus, warm snacks and gifts of the sea.
