Description
Amarone della Valpolicella “Case Vecie” – elegant, velvety wine that perfectly combines with meat dishes and mature cheeses. The grapes for this wine are grown in two vineyards in Valpaltena – “Kase Veche” and “Cavoli”. Altitude (from 250 to 450 meters) and eastern exposure vineyards contribute to the slow and gradual maturation of the grapes. Crop is harvested by hand in the second half of October. After careful selection of grapes are dried in a ventilated room (on the technique “appassimento”). During fermentation on the skins are daily delestazh and remontazh that provides excellent extraction of aroma and color. The wine is aged for 2 years in oak barriques, and then another 1 year in large oak casks volume of 25 hl.
