  • Botter, “Gran Verosso” Gold Edition – a red semi-dry wine made from Merlot and Corvina Veronese grapes, which are grown in the company’s vineyards in Veneto, in northeastern Italy. Merlot, which is used in greater proportions, provides the wine’s fruity characteristics. Corvina is responsible for the structure and richness of the wine, and also adds seductive shades of cherry to the taste-aromatic palette. The grapes for this wine are harvested by hand from the best vineyards. Harvesting does not begin until early October, which results in a high alcohol content and characteristic notes of ripe fruit, plums and raisins. The vinification process follows the traditional method of producing red wines. Subsequent aging for 8 months in oak barrels gives the wine’s aromatic palette seductive notes of vanilla and spices. The wine will perfectly complement the taste of red and white grilled meat, grilled meat, game and mature cheeses.

Wine House “Botter” was founded by Carlo Botter in 1928. Initially, the House was engaged in the supply of barrels and large bottles of wine to retailers in the Veneto region, but with the arrival of the second generation of the family, bottling of wines under its own brand begins. Brothers Enzo, Giovanni and Arnaldo Botter strengthen their presence in the Italian market, expanding their supply area, and enter the Central European market, concluding contracts for the supply of wines to Belgium, Germany and Switzerland. The company’s wines are starting to participate in international competitions and are becoming more and more famous.

By the 80s of the XX century , Botter wines were already supplied to 25 countries of the world. The range of products is expanding, now, in addition to wines from the Veneto region, the company also offers wines from Piedmont, Tuscany, Lazio, Marche and Puglia. The family buys 100 hectares of beautiful vineyards in Motta di Livenza in the province of Treviso, on the border of Veneto and Friuli. In the 90s, the third generation of Botter mastered new branches of production – natural juices and other non-alcoholic drinks, which, as well as wines under the Botter brand, are becoming very popular in Belgium, Germany, Holland and France due to the highest quality.
Today the company continues to move forward, covering new Italian wine regions and sales markets. The “Botter” brand is already present in more than 40 countries of the world, not only in Europe, but also in the USA, Canada, Scandinavia. In their own estates in Motta, the current managers of the company – Luca, Anna and Alessandro Botter – have completely renovated the old farm, planted new vineyards and built a modern winery building.
