Description
Biondi Santi, Brunello di Montalcino “Annata”, 2008 – well-structured, rich and harmonious dry red wine from grapes Sangiovese Grosso. Age of vines is 10-25 years. Soil – mostly marl, interspersed with silicon. The vineyards are located at an altitude of 300-500 meters above sea level and covers the southern, south-eastern, eastern, northeastern and northern exposure. 2008 harvest was of exceptional quality. Harvested grapes were healthy and ripe, with a thick skin and saturated color, high sugar content and acidity. Wine production occurred at a strictly controlled temperature. Aging in oak barrels lasted 3 years. After bottling the wine spent in the bottle for at least another 4 months. The wine has excellent potential storage for 30-40 years. Before use, the need to uncork the wine and pour a small amount of the bottle, to give drink to breathe and get enough oxygen for 8 hours.
