Description
Grape varieties Sangiovese and Canaiolo for the production of dry red wine Chianti Classico collected 4 vineyards located at an altitude of 350 meters above sea level and with the southern, south-eastern and south-western exposure. Age of vines varies from 10 to 35 years. 2006 was characterized by cold winters with good rainfall, were by the rainy spring and hot, dry summers. Temperate climate with cool nights allow the grapes to reach the desired degree of maturity. Harvesting was carried out manually at the end of September or early October. Maceration on the skins lasted three weeks. After fermentation, the wine is aged in barrels of French and Austrian oak volume of 15-25 hl for 12 months.
