Description

Wine Ottella, Lugana is made from Trebbiano grapes. The grapes are harvested only on its own vineyards and only by hand, in small boxes of 17 kg. After a short maceration process in contact with the skins is carried out in the fermentation vats of steel under strictly controlled temperature.

According to legend, the name of the winery appeared in the XVI century, as evidenced by the coat of arms, which is preserved in the courtyard of the estate. “In the XVI century winery was known as the only manufacturer of Verona.” – Extract from La provincia di verona ed I suoi vini (province of Verona and its wine), G. Azienda Agricola Ottella is in the region of Lugano in Peschiera del Garda, on the southern shore of Lake Garda. Winery owners – brothers Ludovico and Francesco Montresor, as well as their father Michel – successfully combine fidelity to local winemaking traditions with modern technologies. Vineyards, mainly from Trebbiano variety, grown on clay-limestone soils of the coast, in a mild climate that promotes excellent ripening.
