Description
Quinta do Infantado, Porto Tawny – expressive, perfectly balanced, elegant port with a silky texture and a delicate sweetness characteristic of this family of beverages. Port wine is a blend of two or three crops of grapes Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz and Tinta Baroque from old vines grown in Vale de Moinhos and Castelos. The berries are picked by hand, choke down and placed in a large stone basins where further fermentation takes place. At the right moment the process is stopped by the addition of brandy 77% strength. Part of the wine is poured in old oak barrels a volume of 550 hl, whose age can be up to 100 years, and some – in small barriques where it is aged from 36 to 60 months.
